MUSICAL THEATRE DIVISION
MUSICAL THEATRE
Explore timeless music from some of Broadway’s most notable and critically acclaimed musicals (and also some of its best kept secrets) from the 1930s to today. The class will also examine the concept of scene into song. From solo to ensemble pieces, you will gain the confidence, skill and versatility necessary to make you a triple threat. GLEE CLUB Through positive reinforcement and a common purpose, you’ll find community in collaboration in this performance based, creative environment. This class will develop a repertoire of pieces to tell its own unique story. If there’s an emotion to be felt, there’s a song for it. Come and know the joy of performance through self expression and teamwork. Bring a song and a dream. *Ages 13 and up. PRIVATE VOCAL LESSONS Discover your own personal style and work towards developing a repertoire of pieces that can be used in auditions, or on any stage, as compelling performance material. In a private, one on one setting, you will study an approach to singing that is derived from classical mouth positions and techniques, applied to pop singing sensibility. You will learn healthy singing techniques through non-threatening vocalizations. These exercises are geared towards strengthening your range, dynamics, durability and proficiency as a singer to assist you towards achieving longevity as a vocalist. Every voice is different and unique and such is reflected in the overall experience of your private lessons. *Private lessons are of limited availability and subject to the teacher’s discretion. PRIVATE DANCE INSTRUCTION In a one on one setting, students are offered an opportunity to strengthen their individual abilities in the genre of their choice. You will see your ability grow immeasurably and at an accelerated rate. *Private lessons are of limited availability and subject to the teacher’s discretion. Must be taken in conjunction with regular classes. |

For the little ones...
PRESCHOOL BALLET

*Children must be independent from the parent and fully potty trained to participate in class.
BALLET/JAZZ COMBO & BALLET/TAP COMBO

The natural next step for our little ones on their performing arts journey. Students will build upon the knowledge and training they received in the Preschool Ballet class. They will grow in technique, add a new genre of dance and layer in many different styles. Class Placement
The school faculty meets regularly to discuss the students’ progress and/or placement. It is our policy to offer appropriate opportunities to every child.
Placement decisions are derived from many years of teaching experience. Often a child is placed in a particular group or class where he or she will feel confident, in order to promote the development of self-esteem. Some dancers who are placed in a higher level become discouraged, only to lose their passion for dance. Others respond to the challenge of being in a class with dancers who are more proficient by pushing themselves to work harder. Placement is highly individual and the factors that go into the decision are complex.
The director and/or faculty are available to discuss class and choreography placement with parents and dancers.
